Corporate social responsibility

Mosaic Publicity believes passionately in supporting local charities and events in our home town of Colchester.

To celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2010, we held a variety of fundraising events, which can be seen on our Facebook page, raising more than our £10,000 target for Guide Dogs for the Blind. We are hugely grateful to all those businesses and individuals who supported our charity clothes swap, masked ball, media masterclass and variety show. As a result, two Guide Dog puppies, Beau (Boadicea) and Max (Maximus), have begun their training, and will transform the lives of two people who have lost their sight.

In 2011, we are supporting The Invicta Foundation, which is raising funds to support British soldiers injured at war. We will be helping with publicity, web copywriting and media training.

We also organise one of the highlights of Colchester’s civic calendar, the Colchester Lecture. We took over the Lecture in 2002 in order to ensure its continuity. This non-profit making event relies heavily on the support of kind sponsors from the business community, to whom we are extremely thankful.

Finally, we all give our time in a number of different ways, with Chairman Kevin Bentley compering charity auctions, the EDF Energy Media Awards and speaking at events. Chief Executive Karen Ainley comperes and judges the Media Awards – and also judges the CIPR national awards, plus is the Marketing Director in a voluntary capacity of the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency, Colbea. Mosaic team members also support a number of their own charity events.
