Kevin Bentley MCIPR, Chairman -
Kevin is a co-founder of Mosaic. Prior to launching the company in 2000 he spent 20 years working for the BBC, the latter half as a reporter and producer with BBC Look East and the East at Westminster. He has also worked for numerous local radio stations, including BBC Essex, along with Radios 1,2 and 4, and was a sub-editor for the BBC Ceefax service. In 1998 he was elected as the National President of Round Table and is the former Chairman of the Round Table Trust. He is a CIPR Accredited Media Trainer and CIPR Accredited Practitioner, and hosts the EDF Energy Media Awards. using his extensive experience as an after-dinner speaker and presenter.

Karen Ainley

Karen Ainley MCIPR, Chief Executive - Karen is a co-founder of Mosaic. She began her journalism career as a reporter on the Braintree and Witham Times, before moving to the Colchester Evening Gazette, where she was appointed as the Health Reporter. In 1991 she joined BBC Essex before moving to BBC Look East as a TV reporter and newsreader. She has a BA (Hons) in Publishing and Computing and was one of the UK's first ever podcast trainers. She was President of North Essex Chamber of Commerce in 1999 and has been a local Businesswoman of the Year finalist. Karen is an experienced CIPR-accredited media trainer; she is also a judge for the national CIPR and regional EDF Energy Media Awards and a CIPR Accredited Practitioner. She is the Marketing Director of Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) in a voluntary capacity and a member of the University of Essex Court.


Rachel Hillier, Head of Finance - Rachel is responsible for looking after Mosaic's finances. She is a highly organised individual, who revels in arranging events for Mosaic Publicity's clients. Rachel was rewarded with promotion to the board of management because of her skills and expertise. She previously worked in London for a global insurance company as the Director's PA. She has the Higher Diploma in Administrative & Secretarial Procedures and attends numerous courses in employment legislation, finance and other office-related subjects to ensure her knowledge is kept up to date.

Claire Owen

Claire Owen, Account Director - Claire is an experienced journalist who started her career on the North Wales Chronicle before moving to the Clacton Gazette and then the Essex County Standard in Colchester. She has a BA (Hons) degree from Keele University in English Literature and American Studies, and an NCTJ postgraduate diploma in print journalism. She has also worked for a variety of companies in administrative roles, which has given her strong organisational skills. In her spare time she enjoys reading, taking photographs and going to the theatre.


Rodney Appleyard, Digital Account Manager - Rodney is in charge of Mosaic’s Digital division. In 2005, he became the Editor of Australia’s first film-based special effects magazine. He has also written regularly for The Big Issue (in Australia) and many other publications. Over the years, he has managed various websites as the Editor and helped FilmFour to create a new site as the Deputy Editor in 2000. Before joining Channel 4, he wrote about movies, Cult TV and education for the BBC. Rodney has a BA (hons) Broadcast Journalism degree and has produced many videos for websites. He has also worked for the charities Christian Aid and Amnesty International.

Gemma Rawlinson

Gemma Rawlinson, Operations Director - Gemma is responsible for the smooth-running of Mosaic Publicity, ensuring that the business runs efficiently. She manages all sales and marketing strategy, enquiries and activities. Gemma is also our social media guru, planning and implementing social marketing campaigns for clients. Whether you are looking to use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or other channels, she can guide you through the process and understands how to measure and evaluate a successful campaign. Gemma was runner-up for Young Communicator of the Year 2011 in the CIPR PRide Awards and has a Higher Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Procedures. In her spare time, she is a yoga instructor.

 


Lindsey Gray, Office Administrator- Lindsey is responsible for managing the office and media training bookings. She has a background in media and spent 12 years of her career in television production working at Sky Television, London Weekend Television and various other independent production companies. In 1999 Lindsey started the UK’s first website for parenting multiples www.twinsclub.co.uk , she has written and edited various other websites - including www.alantitchmarsh.com - and managed a number of social media campaigns. In her spare time Lindsey enjoys learning Spanish, walking the dog and amazing her children with her musical skills on the ukulele.
