The business community is set to benefit from some expert media training at a masterclass run by Colchester-based PR agency Mosaic Publicity.
The event is one of a number of charity activities to be held during the company’s 10th birthday year in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. Hopes are high that £10,000 can be raised in total, with £750 already collected at a clothes swap last month.
The masterclass, on February 26 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, is being held in conjunction with Colchester Connected. A number of guest speakers will offer the benefit of their experience, including Sonia Clark from Heart FM, former Gazette news editor Irene Kettle and photographer Nick Strugnell.
Mosaic Publicity Chief Executive Karen Ainley will be passing on her experience as a former BBC radio and TV reporter.
Karen explained: "We'll be giving top tips on PR and marketing, including suggestions for the most effective photographs and interview techniques. The session is aimed at helping the business community improve their knowledge of the media and learn new skills to help to maintain a strong reputation."
Other Mosaic charity events taking place this year are a masked ball in April and a Britain’s Got Talent-style show in the autumn.
The media masterclass costs £40, with all proceeds going to Guide Dogs for the Blind. If you would like to attend, please contact Gemma Rawlinson on 01206 548100 or gemma@mosaicpublicity.co.uk.
