Mosaic is getting into gear and swapping press releases for pastries this summer as we take on St Helena Hospice’s £40 Challenge, a creative fundraising campaign celebrating the charity’s 40th anniversary.
St Helena Hospice, based in Colchester, provides free specialist palliative and end-of-life care to individuals with incurable illness, while also offering vital support to their families, friends and carers. To mark four decades of compassionate service, the charity has invited local businesses to transform £40 into as much fundraising as possible over 50 days.
At Mosaic, we love a good challenge, especially when it brings together creativity, community spirit and some friendly competition. After some lively planning sessions, we’ve launched a three-part fundraising campaign to give back and go the extra mile.
St Helena Hospice Shop Tour Challenge
We’re trading office wear for activewear as we take on a 180-mile fitness mission, covering the equivalent distance between all of St Helena’s retail charity shops across Essex. With seven team members involved, that’s 25 miles each – one for every year Mosaic has traded.
Whether it’s cycling, swimming, running or walking, our team is clocking up the miles with the help of Fitness4Less Colchester, who have generously donated a month’s gym pass to support our efforts.
Matt Skeats, Gym Manager at Fitness4Less, said: “We’re delighted to support Mosaic in their 180-mile challenge for such a fantastic cause. It’s brilliant to see local businesses coming together to support St Helena Hospice in such an active and inspiring way.”
Wellbeing Wednesday
On Wednesday 9th July, our Managing Director, Gemma Rawlinson – a qualified yoga instructor – will be leading an online lunchtime chair yoga and meditation session. It’s the perfect midweek reset, and a great way to raise funds while promoting wellbeing in the workplace. Get your chair in prime position and join us!
Bake Sale Bonanza
Later this month, we’ll be swapping our PR hats for aprons as we host a bake sale at Oyster House for our neighbouring businesses. Expect a tempting spread of homemade cakes, cookies and sweet treats – all lovingly prepared by the Mosaic team.
We haven’t set a fundraising target because every pound makes a difference. Here’s how your donations could help:
- £520 could provide 20 hours of bereavement counselling
- £1,000 could fund a full day of expert care for a patient at the hospice
Gemma Rawlinson, Managing Director at Mosaic, said: “St Helena Hospice holds a special place in our hearts and does incredible work for our community, and the £40 Challenge is a brilliant way to give back while having fun as a team. I’m confident we’ll rise to the occasion – and burn off some of those bake sale calories along the way!”
Celebrating 25 years of Mosaic
Mosaic is celebrating 25 years in business this year, and we’re marking the occasion with a programme of activities that give back to the community. We’re supporting local charities, championing sustainability in marketing and finding new ways to make a positive impact.
Taking part in the St Helena £40 Challenge is just one part of that commitment, bringing together community spirit, creativity and purpose in true Mosaic style.
