We are very proud to be working with St Helena Hospice to help promote the return of its Midnight Walk fundraising event following a five-year hiatus.
As the marketing agency with a conscience, we love an opportunity to get involved with projects that benefit the local community and, if they also assist a local charity, we are doubly happy.
Fundraising is the lifeblood of charities – without it they would cease to exist, but the third sector has struggled in recent times due to Covid and the cost of living crisis. In addition, hospices in the UK are amid one of the worst funding crises in two decades with many forced to cut services.
Community involvement
Now has never been a more important time to support our local hospice – St Helena – and we are honoured to assist their marketing and communications teams in drumming up local support and event sign ups.
It has been an exciting few months with photo and video shoots, neon clothing, glitter and glow sticks, to create content for social media and radio advertising campaigns, which have run alongside the Hospice’s own PR activity, community events and outreach.
Event details
Members of our team have signed up to take part in the walk in memory of loved ones, but individuals and groups can also sign up to walk just for fun.
The event, which takes place on Friday 27 September at the Jobserve Community Stadium in Colchester from 7pm, will be the city’s biggest neon party with a full event village featuring a glass and Lego® walk, performers, glitter station, food stalls and more!
The walk will be officially started by Olympic Bronze medalist and Colchester athlete Charlie Dobson, and participants have the option to walk either a four or nine-mile route.
So wear your best neon-inspired outfit and join us to walk with hundreds of other local people to raise money for St Helena Hospice – to help ensure it can be there for the people you love. Sign up here.
