What a way to kick off our 25th year in business – by achieving coveted B Corp status for our milestone anniversary!
By becoming B Corp certified, Mosaic joins a global movement of companies aiming to reinvent business for the benefit of the people and planet.
Our CEO Karen Ainley is proud to be one of just a small handful of marketing agencies in the Eastern region to achieve the prestigious accolade, she said:
“Since we started Mosaic, we have always worked with businesses that are kind to the world around them, which aligns with the values of the B Corp movement, and we are delighted to become certified following a lot of hard work from our team.”
Mosaic’s commitment to B Corp standards is underlined by their new approach to marketing strategy – Conscience Marketing – which focuses on the 5Cs: Customers, Climate, Communities, Colleagues and Credentials.
Karen added: “Things have changed a lot in marketing over the last two decades, but never faster than the last four years since Covid.
“Conscience Marketing is about integrating ethical considerations and social responsibilities into marketing and communications’ strategies to drive business growth and increase profits, allowing organisations to invest more in green initiatives, good causes, their people and local communities.”
Companies who want to achieve B Corp certification must go through a rigorous impact assessment from B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the movement, providing evidence of responsible practice in social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, plus be committed to purpose as well as profit.
Mosaic is now part of an exclusive community of B Corps, which includes UK-based businesses such as The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, The Big Issue, Finisterre, Elemis, and Sipsmith Gin.
Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK, said: “Welcoming Mosaic to the B Corp community is hugely exciting. Its commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will help spread the notion that success in business is as much about people and planet as it is profit.”
