Mosaic is celebrating six months as a certified B Corporation with the appointment of experienced communicator and former journalist Matt Stott as its new Senior PR and Digital Account Manager. This summer recruitment strengthens our commitment to sustainable, socially responsible communications.

Matt brings more than seven years’ experience in PR and digital marketing, most recently at communications agency PLMR Genesis where he led integrated campaigns for clients across infrastructure, education, healthcare and local government in the East of England.

Before moving into PR, he spent six years as a senior and education reporter at the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star, covering everything from NHS winter crises, business awards and murder investigations to GCSE Results Day and human interest stories. His background in regional journalism gives him a rare blend of strategic insight, storytelling instinct and a deep understanding of how to build trust with audiences.

One of his most memorable interviews was at the home of a 99-year-old D-Day veteran who welcomed Matt into his home dressed in full military regalia, complete with medals and memories. The local hero had just been awarded the Légion d’honneur – France’s highest honour for wartime bravery – for shooting down two Nazi planes.

But Matt still regrets not asking about his missing ear.

“I believe communications should be purposeful, confident and targeted. It should help people understand what an organisation stands for and why their offer is relevant and valuable,” Matt said.

“That’s what drew me to Mosaic. The company’s commitment to sustainability, social impact and ethical marketing shines through its client work and how they work together as a team.

“I’m passionate about helping organisations tell meaningful stories, build trust and grow their reputations in ways that reflect their values. Joining a team that’s both principled and highly skilled feels like I’m writing the perfect next chapter in my career.”

Matt’s arrival comes as Mosaic reflects on its six-month milestone as a certified B Corp, a status achieved last autumn ahead of its 25th anniversary this year. As one of only a handful of marketing agencies in the East of England to earn the prestigious certification, Mosaic is part of a global movement of companies committed to balancing profit with purpose.

Mosaic’s Conscience Marketing approach is built around the 5Cs: Customers, Climate, Communities, Colleagues and Credentials, guiding how we help clients grow while doing good for people and the planet.

Karen Ainley, CEO and founder of Mosaic, said: “Matt’s journalistic instincts, strategic mindset and values-led approach make him a perfect fit for Mosaic. As a certified B Corp, we’re committed to helping organisations grow in ways that are good for people and the planet, and Matt’s experience and ethos align perfectly with that mission.”

Born and bred in Ipswich, Matt is proud of his East Anglian roots, though half his family hails from the North, explaining his lifelong loyalty to Manchester United. He lives with his wife and their black Labrador, 14-year-old Benji, and is a National Trust member, fitness enthusiast and firm believer that good storytelling can change minds; perhaps even the world.

Matt will be based at Mosaic’s Colchester office, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and contributing to the agency’s continued success.
