A snack ‘shop’ in the Mosaic office and a sponsored walk (to burn off the calories!), raised £235 for the East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH), a local charity supporting families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions.

EACH, which was nominated by Mosaic’s Finance Director Rachel Hillier, adopts a family-centred, needs-led approach to care and focuses on the needs of the whole child, so provides psychological, physical, emotional, social and spiritual support services, as well as respite and bereavement services for families and other caregivers.

Families can choose where they receive care and support, including where their child dies; at home, in hospital or at one of the charity’s three hospices at Milton in Cambridgeshire, The Nook in Norfolk or The Treehouse in Suffolk.

Rachel decorated Mosaic’s office with EACH banners, flags and leaflets and brought in a raft of sweet and savoury treats for her colleagues to buy, with the proceeds given to the charity.

Why we chose to support EACH

Commenting on why she chose EACH, Rachel said: “My husband and are fortunate to have four healthy boys but some parents are not so lucky.

“Parents whose children receive a life-limiting diagnosis must feel as though the world is crumbling around them – the anguish must be indescribable and the need for help unparalleled.

“I wanted to do my part to raise funds for a charity that does so much to ease family suffering – the help and support they provide gives families some much needed stability during their most difficult times.”
